In 1984 President Reagan recognized the important work Correctional Officers perform and proclaimed National Correctional Officers Week. It’s just as true today as then for the brave men and women working law enforcement’s most dangerous beat.
Out of sight you have worked in a dangerous environment of long hours, holidays away from family and this past year the added danger of the Corona Virus that worked it’s way through Corrections staff. As inmates were released to protect them from it, you remained at your posts.
