Hennepin County Jail deputy assaulted by inmate, sources say
The deputy, who has not been publicly named at this point, suffered a concussion, a broken nose and other injuries but is expected to recover.

In other news the Pension Commission is slated to hear Bill SF1556 (Bahr); HF 708 (Scott) a bill to add a correctional officer to the PERA Board being heard this Tuesday March 25th by the Pension Commission.
