Charges dropped against Trooper Londregan

Sunday night Hennepin County Attorney Mary Moriarity dropped the charges against Trooper Londregan. He had been charged by her office with shooting a man who was fleeing in a car with both him and his partner hanging from the doors. Numerous use of force experts said his actions were justified and followed training and guidelines.

After realizing her office could not win the case she dropped the charges. Her statement when dropping the charges though reflects a dangerous precedent by her office.

She said, ““The question of whether we can prove a case at trial is different than clearing a person of any wrongdoing.” (source Alpha News.) In other words, “He’s guilty until proven innocent.”
