Four More Units Vote MNPEA as Exclusive Representative

On October 28th, ballots were counted for 4 more units that had filed to change their exclusive representative to Minnesota Public Employees Association.  Those four units were Albert Lea Police Essential Unit, Freeborn County Deputies Unit, Washington County Corrections and Dispatchers Unit, and the Hennepin County Detention Deputies and Tele-communicators Unit.  The results were a resounding statement that there is a need for change in the way that traditional Unions operate.

Albert Lea Police Essential Unit  15 to 0 vote for MNPEA

Freeborn County Deputies Unit   3 to 2 vote for MNPEA

Washington County Corrections and Dispatchers Unit   52 to 16 vote for MNPEA

Hennepin County Detention Deputies and Tele-communicators Unit   110 to 1 vote for MNPEA

There are still 8 units that have filed a petition and are awaiting a vote.  We will post the results here when the ballots are counted.

MNPEA Welcomes the Freeborn County Sergeants

On October 13th, the MN Bureau of Mediation Services issued an election result on BMS Case #12PCE0197, declaring the Minnesota Public Employees Association, Inc. the exclusive representatives of the Freeborn County Sergeants Unit.  MNPEA would like to welcome the Sgt’s to MNPEA and the MN FOP.

The Word is Getting Out About What MNPEA Has to Offer Public Employees.

Minnesota Public Employees Association, Inc. (MNPEA) has filed petitions with the MN Bureau of Mediation Services for 13 units and more employee units are setting meetings every week.  Of the 13 groups that have currently filed petitions to change their exclusive representation to MNPEA, 8 are scheduled to have their ballots counted by the end of October.
