MNPEA Welcomes Sibley County Sheriff’s Office Essentials

On August 31st, the Minnesota BMS certified election results for Sibley County Essential Employees.

The vote was 13 for MNPEA, 2 for LELS.  Minnesota Public Employees Association, Inc was certified as the exclusive representative for the unit.

MNPEA Welcomes Witnthrop Licensed Essentials, Our 20th Unit in Under 12 Months

Minnesota Public Employees Association, Inc welcomes Winthrop PD Licensed Essential Employees Unit.

The MN Bureau of Mediation Services (BMS) counted ballots on August 14th and certified MNPEA as the new Exclusive Representative for “All licensed essential employees employed by the City of Winthrop…”.

This unit is the 20th unit to join MNPEA since September of 2011.  WELCOME.

MNPEA Welcomes Mendota Heights Police Sergeants

On June 5th, the Bureau of Mediation Services counted ballots and certified Minnesota Public Employees Association as the exclusive representative for the Mendota Heights Police Sergeants.

MNPEA Welcomes Faribault County Corrections and Dispatch

On May 30th, the BMS counted ballots and certified Minnesota Public Employees Association, Inc. as the exclusive representative for the Faribault County Non-Licensed Essential Employees.

On February 23rd, the MN BMS certified the election results for the McLeod County Deputies to be represented by MNPEA.   The vote was 13 to 1 for MNPEA as exclusive representative.

MNPEA Welcomes Two More Groups

Minnesota Public Employees Association welcomes the Dakota County Sheriff’s Office, Non-Licensed Supervisory Employees Unit and the Lakeville Police Department Essential Employees Unit.

On February 14th, the MN Bureau of Mediation Services certified the election results for the Dakota County Non-Licensed Supervisory Employees.  The vote was 9 to 2 in favor of MNPEA as their exclusive representative.

On February 21st, the MN Bureau of Mediation Services certified the election results for the Lakeville Police Department Essential Employees.  The vote was 30 to 1 in favor of MNPEA as their exclusive representative.

The Minnesota Public Employees Association welcomes our newest members, the Carver County Deputies.

On December 16th, the MN BMS tabulated ballots.  The Carver County Licensed Essential Staff voted 29 – 7 to have MNPEA as their exclusive representative.

MNPEA Welcomes Blue Earth County Corrections Officers and Sergeants

Minnesota Public Employees Association, Inc. welcomes our newest members, Blue Earth County Correctional Officers and Correctional Sergeants.

Today, December 13th, ballots were counted by the BMS in the representation election for the Blue Earth County Correctional Officers and Correctional Sergeants.   The BMS certified results show that the vote was 25 – 0 for MNPEA to be the exclusive representative of their unit.

Minnesota Public Employees Association Welcomes 2 More Police Units

MNPEA welcomes the Owatona Police Department and the University of Minnesota Police Department as our newest members.

On November 10th, the MN Bureau of Mediation Services counted ballots for Owatona PD.  The vote was 3 – 0 for MNPEA.

On November 16th the ballots were counted for U of M Police, Unit 1.  The vote was 28 – 15 for MNPEA.

MNPEA Welcomes 2 More Units

On November 4th, ballots were counted for two Rice County units that had filed to change their exclusive representative to Minnesota Public Employees Association.  The Bureau of Mediation Services counted the ballots and certified MNPEA as the new exclusive representative for both units.  The unit are Rice County Patrol Officers & Bailiff Unit, and the Rice County Sergeants & Corporals Unit.  The results are posted below.  Click on the unit’s name to see the BMS Certification.

Four More Units Vote MNPEA as Exclusive Representative

On October 28th, ballots were counted for 4 more units that had filed to change their exclusive representative to Minnesota Public Employees Association.  Those four units were Albert Lea Police Essential Unit, Freeborn County Deputies Unit, Washington County Corrections and Dispatchers Unit, and the Hennepin County Detention Deputies and Tele-communicators Unit.  The results were a resounding statement that there is a need for change in the way that traditional Unions operate.

MNPEA Welcomes the Freeborn County Sergeants

On October 13th, the MN Bureau of Mediation Services issued an election result on BMS Case #12PCE0197, declaring the Minnesota Public Employees Association, Inc. the exclusive representatives of the Freeborn County Sergeants Unit.  MNPEA would like to welcome the Sgt’s to MNPEA and the MN FOP.

(MNPEA) has filed petitions with the MN Bureau of Mediation Services for 13 units and more employee units are setting meetings every week.  Of the 13 groups that have currently filed petitions to change their exclusive representation to MNPEA, 8 are scheduled to have their ballots counted by the end of October.
